This was our third time attempting to photograph this amazing view at Green River Overlook, Canyonlands NP in the two days we spent in Moab. The weather (sky) just would not cooperate. A fair amount of time was spent watching the storm that was passing through and once the rain got to the overlook the tourists all scampered back to their cars. We held our ground hoping that the light would break through the clouds as rain fell around us. Finally, we got the brief moment when as the sun set, it came through a small opening in the clouds & washed the canyon with light.
During my visit to Moab, UT the sun was pretty much elusive. Cloudy skies & rain storms made it difficult to do anything but B&W photos. Fortunately on the last day the sun finally decided to rise. Photographed at Dead Horse Point
